USF corrugated metal hoses are manufactured from stainless steel strips which are rolled and edge welded to insure a thin-walled, gas-tight tube. For additional strength in high pressure applications, the corrugated hose is then encased in a single or double layer of braided stainless steel wire.

All Corrugated hose is available in 304, 316L, 321, or 409L stainless. The stainless wire braid is 304 stainless.

The applications for corrugated hose typically involve the transfer of caustic or corrosive liquids or gasses, higher pressures, petroleum products or applications which involve the transfer of materials between vibrating or oscillating machinery. Industries which typically employ these hoses include the Chemical, Petro-Chemical, Cryogenic, Nuclear, and Metallurgical industries.

In order to meet various industry needs, USF has developed 3 Styles of Corrugated Metal hose.

N-STYLE HOSE

The N_STYLE HOSE is produced of high-grade stainless corrugated steel and encased in a single or double layer of stainless steel braid for added strength under extreme pressure conditions.

The P_STYLE HOSE is manufactured identically to the N_STYLE HOSE except the hose corrugations are more closely spaced longitudinally allowing greater flexibility and a smaller bend radii for the same hose size.

The E_STYLE HOSE is also a corrugated metal hose manufactured from stainless steel in a manner similar to the N_STYLE and P_STYLE HOSE and also available with single or double stainless braid covering, but the E_STYLE HOSE is our lowest cost solution to client metal hose applications.
